The launch of the new Whitfords of Five Dock showroom has been well-received, with more space to showcase products and the introduction of two new brands.

Now into its 90th year of business, Whitfords has remained a family affair, with Liz Whitford telling Current.com.au that the new showroom and online retail site both attracting good responses.

“The response to the new showroom has been overwhelmingly positive — the guests at the launch all had a good time and we are planning a second event for later in the New Year,” she said.

“Our supplier partners have been incredibly supportive in our plans to focus our core business on the notion of being cooking specialists. This has been demonstrated with their help in the installation and remodelling of the kitchen showrooms downstairs.”

Whitford said Gaggenau and Neff, both distributed by Sampford IXL, are now being sold in the showroom, while consumers are also invited to check out  and Whitfords’ new website, which went live this week.

“The online business has only just launched so it is very early days but so far it looks promising. The beauty of our website is that we also are in the position to offer those who have a fear of purchasing online the tangible experience of shopping in store.”

In order to generate interest in its new website, Whitfords is running a competition with a first prize of a holiday to Hamilton Island. The first 100 customers to spend $500 or more on the site will be entered in the draw. As with all competitions, interested parties should check out the official terms and conditions.
