After the De Dietrich brand was formally shelved in Australia by former distributor Shriro Australia, Eurolinx — the Australian and New Zealand distributor of the Ilve Appliances brand — has confirmed that it will be bringing the De Dietrich brand back to Australia “later this year”.
Eurolinx will control De Dietrich distribution across Australia and New Zealand, including the release of products in a range of major kitchen appliance categories.
“The 2013 range of De Dietrich appliances is exquisite,” said Eurolinx Marketing Manager, Daniel Bertuccio. “They have been designed around the theme of Grey, Dark, White and Platinum pearls and will be marketed as Jewels for the Kitchen — objects of desire.
“As a part of the range, we will be releasing the much anticipated ‘Piano’ zoneless induction cooktop, along with an array of other complimentary induction cooktops and a large collection of built-in ovens, range hoods and dishwashers” he said.

De Dietrich was originally distributed by Hagemeyer Brands Australia (HBA), along with a stable of brands including Omega, Blanco and Omega Altise. The French cooking brand then came under the distribution of Shriro Australia when Shriro purchased HBA in 2011.
De Dietrich exited the Australian market in spectacular fashion last October when former owner Shriro Australia confirmed it was ceasing distribution of the brand and selling all remaining stock in a GraysOnline fire sale, with prices slashed by up to 70 per cent.
The brand was originally pitched at the high end of the market, with the flagship Le Piano zoneless induction cooktop commanding an RRP of $14,999. Eurolinx has not indicated where it will be pitching the brand when it is relaunched, but with the distributor foreshadowing a similar product line-up to De Dietrich's last incarnation, Australia could be set to see the return of another premium cooking brand.
