With the 2012 Summer Olympics to be held in London this year, the English city is proving a popular location for holiday promotions offered by appliance suppliers. While Russell Hobbs is offering consumers a trip to the city to promote its small appliance range, Blanco is also getting in on the action.

Blanco's Extraordinary Moments Promotion will run until 6 May 2012, and will be open to any consumer who purchases a Blanco built-in oven, freestanding cooker, cooktop, dishwasher or rangehood (from participating retailers).

Consumers need to tell Blanco “how they made an ordinary moment extraordinary, in order to enter for the major prize”. Up for grabs is a holiday to London for four people from 27 July to 2 August 2012, valued at over $30,000.

The prize will give one lucky customer flights for themselves and three friends, as well as four double rooms at the Britannia International Hotel. For those that miss out on the major prize, Blanco is offering all consumers who purchase one of the above appliances a free year-long subscription to Australian Gourmet Traveller (by providing proof of purchase through redemption).

“Blanco is all about bringing you the most exciting moments in the kitchen and, with this promotion, we’re extending that moment all the way to the UK,” said Blanco brand manager Jennelle Larven. “It’s an exciting time to travel to London and we expect that this major prize along with the bonus magazine subscription will provide even more incentive for consumers to choose Blanco.”
