Wearable tech

LG was awarded as an Honouree for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE the next premium smartwatch in LG’s smartwatch collection and the world’s first Android Wear cellular watch providing stand-alone connectivity.

The Moto 360 line has expanded into a complete collection for men, women and fitness enthusiasts, and has scored Motorola a place in the Honouree list. Fully customisable, notifications at a glance, voice-activation to respond to messages, start your car, then lock the door, and more. The Moto 360 is WiFi-enabled so it is possible to use without a smartphone.

Another winner in the wearable tech category was the Samsung Gear S2, which is a completely re-designed smartwatch that centers on a circular infrastructure with a rotating bezel. The bezel allows users to easily and precisely navigate the UI with the turn of a dial, from real-time sports updates to a functioning payment system.

Headphones

Philips was awarded as an Honouree for its SHB9850NC headphones. They feature ActiveShield Pro hybrid active noise cancelling technology eliminating 99%of background noise, 40mm high definition drivers, Bluetooth® 4.0, Smart touch controls and Simple NFC pairing.

LG also received a gong in the headphone category for its latest addition to its award-winning Tone series, the LG Tone Active™. It is designed for durability with an IPX3 Sweat & Water Resistance Rating to support life’s hardest workout, and fits around the neck in a stay-put, contoured design.

Home Appliances

The superior defrosting, cooking and reheating capability of the new Panasonic Cyclonic Wave with Inverter Technology was recognised in the Honouree list for its heat precision, ultra-efficient 3D waves for easier, more versatile food preparation.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Chef Collection Slide-In Dual Fuel Range was awarded as an Honoree for its seamless blend of the award-winning Flex Duo™ technology and combination gas cooktop and electric oven to create a highly precise and singular new cooking experience.

The iRobot Roomba 980 also turned heads for the CES panel. It changes the way users clean through a combination of adaptive navigation with visual localisation, cloud connected smartphone control and increased cleaning power, all at the push of a button.

Video Displays

The new TCL 110 inch Curved UHD TV was the only display awarded for innovation in its category. It integrates a variety of technologies and features for an exceptional viewing experience, as well as unique design elements to integrate seamlessly into the interior design of a home.
