As telcos including Telstra and Optus implement price hikes for mobile users, Kogan Mobile plans to shake up the sector and save users thousands of dollars with the launch of Kogan Mobile Devices.

The Apple-approved refurbished phones offer the benefits of being brand new but at a fraction of the cost. A comparable new phone sold via a leading mobile network operator (MNO) would cost $1,000 more over 24 months than Kogan Mobile Devices.

Kogan Mobile Devices aims to make owning a high-spec mobile phone more affordable, as well as better value by letting users spread their payments over time.

New users will get their first month of data free in celebration of the launch, alongside other benefits including no hidden fees, eSIM, VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling, select 5G plans, exclusive deals and discounts, and the option to keep an existing phone number.

Kogan.com director of partner care, Ron Gelberg said, “While many are feeling the financial squeeze, mobiles are something people don’t want to compromise on – they want the latest phone, with a great value data package.

“Recent price hikes have made a good deal harder to find so Kogan Mobile Devices has been launched with that in mind; the most affordable way to access good-as-new mobile phones in Australia. We’re always looking for new ways to give Australians remarkable value whenever they shop with us.”

Kogan Mobile is offering refurbished iPhones including XS, 11, 12, and 13 on long-term contracts, allowing people to pay back the sum of the device in monthly payments over a 24-month period. Kogan Mobile also offers leasing options with pre-paid plans which are even cheaper than an instalment plan.
