Smeg has presented the Isola collection of induction cooktops, with and without an integrated ventilation system and a suspended rangehood system, in collaboration with Stefano Boeri Interiors.

Featuring a new luminous design, Stefano Boeri Interiors was inspired by Smeg classics to create soft lines and a product that could adapt to every style and environment.

In addition to lighting that defines the perimeter of the induction cooktop, state-of-the-art technologies make the product efficient and silent, guaranteeing more accurate temperature control and cooking times up to three times faster than traditional technologies.

The LED light insert can remain switched on, even when the cooktop isn’t in use, and the light intensity can be adjusted to become more of a design element. The cooktop frame and integrated grill can be customised in black, taupe or satin stainless steel.

The Isola rangehoods also feature adjustable lighting and an elegant metal touch display for intuitive operation. The collection also includes a suspended light track, independent of the extraction function.

Smeg CEO, Vittorio Bertazzoni said, “The collaboration with Stefano Boeri Interiors represents a new chapter in the constant quest for excellence and innovation, both aesthetic and technological, which has always been Smeg’s hallmark.

“The new Isola collection condenses the expression of Smeg’s identity, namely technology with style. A synergy that aims to continue offering products of high aesthetic and performance quality, responding to the needs of today’s market and shaping those of the future.”

Architect and Stefano Boeri Interiors founder, Stefano Boeri commented, “Like the family, the kitchen is a world of variable geometry, which therefore requires variable design sensitivity, like the one we adopted in designing Isola.

“After Smeg’s collaborations with Guido Canali, Mario Bellini, Renzo Piano and Marc Newson, we are proud to bring our ideas and designs to a company that has made and continues to write the history of Made in Italy.”
