Human Kind 2023, presented by the Winning Group, has kicked off today at Sydney’s Luna Park.

The event commenced with a powerful acknowledgement of country and performance by AIME before AIME CEO and founder, Jack Manning Bancroft took the stage to speak about the history of AIME and why imagination and being inclusive is important to solve the world’s problems.

He was followed by Human Kind founder and Winning Group CEO, John Winning, who shared the story of how the spark of Human Kind came to him and how unlikely connections helped shape the idea of the summit.

AIME co-CEO, humanitarian, and award-winning speaker, Candice Mama, then spoke of the kindness economy and used her story of forgiveness of the person who killed her father, as an example of how kindness can help save lives.

The three-day immersive summit, being held from 16 to 18 March 2023, brings together the world’s industry leaders and changemakers.

Guests have the chance to network with international and local talent, artists and attendees, participate in interactive experiences, as well as enjoy music and live entertainment.

“I’m so excited to be bringing a plethora of stimulating experiences, incredible artistic talent and some of the greatest minds on the planet together in one place to create a fun and imaginative space where people can dream big, make meaningful connections, and enjoy some world-class arts whilst giving back,” Winning said.

“Human Kind is a not-for-profit. Every year Human Kind runs, profits will be distributed to a different organisation or charity that aligns with the Human Kind goals. This year’s chosen charity is AIME. Through their imagination lab, AIME creates unlikely connections and uses the power of Indigenous systems in Australia. These are learnings going back 60,000 years, which is hard to ignore, trying to blend this with modern science and I can’t think of a better way to solve the challenges of our time.

“This aligns with my passion to help create a happier society and inspire people to use the ecosystems they have as force for good. We look forward to an amazing few days at Human Kind.”

Tickets can be purchased on the Human Kind website or at the door.
