ApplianceSalesDirect, the online retail arm of Rawsons Elite Appliances in South Australia, is currently using ex-Hilton executive chef Simon Bryant as a demonstrator of its Teka cooking products.
Bryant was one of the original celebrity chefs, as co-host of the popular ABC show The Cook and the Chef. He was The Chef alongside Maggie Beer as The Cook.
Rawsons Elite Appliances has been the exclusive Australian importer and retailer of Teka, a German appliance brand, since the local subsidiary closed its doors. Teka is sold both in-store and online through ApplianceSalesDirect.

“I have a good knife, a few handy bits and pieces and a couple of quality appliances that get an absolute beating (they have to be Simon-proof!),” Bryant said. “My kitchen equipment was all chosen for function over form, robustness and for the particular requirements I need them to perform.
“Are they all Teka? No — of course not — there are some other great brands worth considering, but I do have a few well-used Teka appliances that I have cooked with for a number of years and they do exactly what they are meant to.
“For me it boils down to choosing quality equipment that best suits your needs and budget.”
