Brands Australia, distributor of the Polaroid Instant brand, has appointed a new brand manager and new sales agents for Tasmania and the north-east of Australia.

Joining from former Polaroid distributors Hagemeyer and Shriro, Dale Eastman is the new Polaroid imaging brands manager.

“Eastman, who has almost 10 years experience in the photographic and consumer electronics trade, spent five years with Hagemeyer and Shriro starting as product trainer for JVC before being promoted to online marketing executive for both JVC and Polaroid,” said the statement announcing these appointments.

Polaroid was previously distibutred by Hagemeyer, before that company was sold to Shriro in early 2011. Shriro subseqently divested itself of the consumer electronics brands, with JVC joining the Kenwood stable and Polaroid being picked up by Brands Australia, which is owned by Australian Photo Supplies (APS).

Looking after Tasmanian consumer and commercial markets is fellow recruit John Mullavey. As with Eastman, Mullavey previously held a similar role at Hagemeyer and Shriro, and before that was the Tasmanian account manager for Kodak.

Finally, Bryan Fagerlund is the new sales and support agent for Polaroid’s Passport business in Queensland, the Northern Territory and northern New South Wales.
