Bunnings has unveiled its new 18,000 square metre warehouse in Preston, Victoria, replacing the nearby Northland store.

Representing an investment of over $59 million in the community, the team of 200 incorporates 60 new expertise roles in timber, tools, paint, kitchens, plumbing, gardening and outdoor living.

The store features a five-lane drive-thru trade yard, nursery, paint counter, special orders desk, kitchen and bathroom design centre, large tool shop, two-level carpark, kids playground and café. It also includes a 295kW solar PV system.

Commenting on the opening, Bunnings Preston complex manager, John Barra said, “Our team has worked tirelessly over the past few months to get the store ready, and we’re excited to now be open to the community. It’s been a massive team effort and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. We can’t wait for our customers to visit us in store, check out the new site and see all that we have to offer.”
