November has been a busy month for Hisense with the Chinese brand announcing the launch of a new refrigerator line-up followed by two new wine cabinets designed for oenophiles.

The Dual Zone Wine Cabinets feature dedicated sections for storing different wine varieties, ensuring bottles can be kept at two different temperatures – with room temperatures for red wines and cooler temperatures for white wine and sparkling.

There are two models in the new range, offering a 36-bottle capacity (HR6WC36, RRP $699) or a larger 58-bottle capacity (HR6WC58, RRP $999). Both feature minimalist glass door designs with reversible hinges and traditional wooden shelving inside.

Temperatures can be adjusted digitally with touch controls on the inside of the cabinet, with a possible range of between 5 and 20° Celsius, and there is a guide to indicate the correct storage temperature for different wines.

“Wine lovers know that the temperature at which a wine is stored and served can strongly affect the taste, so it’s important to store it correctly,” said a Hisense spokesperson. “When ageing wine (over one year or more) it is especially important to store it at the correct temperature and even many wine cellars are not cool enough.”

The wine cabinets are available in Harvey Norman and The Good Guys from today.

Hisense also released a new line-up of frost free bottom-mount refrigerators at the beginning of the month, offering both a 435-litre model (White: HR6BMFF435, RRP $1,199 and Stainless Steel: HR6BMFF435S, RRP $1,399) and a 520-litre model (White: HR6BMFF520, RRP $1,299 and Stainless Steel: HR6BMFF520S, RRP $1,499).
