Asus Transformer All-in-One
RRP from $1,999

What looks like a standard desktop PC from a distance is actually a combination computer and tablet, providing dual operating systems on a kingsize screen. While it’s hard to imagine anyone taking 18.4-inch screen out and about like an iPad, it is great for lying on the couch or watching a film in bed.

Best Feature: Switch from Windows 8 in desktop mode to Android when being used as a tablet.

When Asus launched the Transformer All-in-One, marketing coordinator Angus Tong said Harvey Norman had been chosen as its exclusive launch partner because of the retailer’s appeal to families:

“This exclusivity is just for the first few months,” he said. “We wanted to target families and we know that a lot of families visit Harvey Norman stores to look and purchase whitegoods and appliances.

“Harvey Norman is a good outlet for us to launch at.”
