SYDNEY, NSW: Asia’s largest consumer electronics trade show is about to gear up for another season, with the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) expanding to become a CES rival in terms of floor space.
With the opening of new floorspace within the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the fair will have new areas for attendees to explore. Computers and peripherals, digital imaging, electronic gaming and healthcare electronics will all have their own sections this year, while the Hall of Fame will return, but with more of a design focus. Also returning are the in-vehicle electronics and navigation zone and technology exchange zone.
Attendees also get a two for one deal again — electronicAsia is a separate show, but held in the same building, meaning even more electronics exhibitors are there to view and do business with. And this is the point of the show. With almost every major supplier from both Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland attending (2,600 exhibitors attended from 29 countries and regions last year for the main show alone), Australian resellers can find the latest products to source and re-badge, as well as talk to manufacturers about specific, custom made products.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is again offering assistance to those who wish to travel from Australia to the show, with subsidised accommodation, free entry passes and other benefits, such as free Dragon Lounge entry, available.
