SYDNEY, NSW: Nestled alongside blue chip advertisers Qantas, Mitsubishi Motors, Coles, Telstra and Fonterra, Sunbeam has reportedly signed an extra deal with FreemantleMedia for off-air associations with MasterChef 3, set to hit screens 1 May 2011.

It is the third season that Sunbeam has sponsored the hugely successful cooking show, which has been attributed to growth in the small appliance and food preparation category.

Sponsors may have paid between $2.5 million and $3.5 million for the packages, according to reports in The Australian. Sunbeam would not comment on the amount it has contributed, saying that it is “very excited” to be on board for Season 3.

“It is great to be involved in this incredibly successful series as exclusive small appliance provider,” a Sunbeam spokesperson told Current.com.au.
