SYDNEY: Panasonic has announced the appointment of Anne Latter as marketing executive and Vern Taber as a contractor to manage its marketing communications division while the current marketing manager, Gemma Lemieux, goes on maternity leave.
Latter, who joins Panasonic from the automotive industry where she was most recently national marketing manager for Kia Motors Australia, will be responsible for implementing advertising and promotional campaigns for audio-visual consumer electronics categories including Viera flat panel TV, home theatre, and DVD.
Latter has also held a number of senior marketing roles with expertise in creating strong synergies across brand, product roll-outs and sponsorship properties.
“Anne has a key role in our market communications team. Her brand marketing expertise will provide strong support to Panasonic’s consumer electronics division in 2007,” said Lemieux.
Former Panasonic marketing communications division executive, Tim Boys, announced his departure from the company two weeks ago and began a new position with Sony’s advertising agency last Monday.
