MELBOURNE, VIC: Miele has released its 2010 range of premium refrigeration products, known under the brand name MasterCool. One of these units is a $19,000 fridge – a product truly playing at the top end of the market.
The KF1911 Vi (RRP $18,999) is a combination fridge and freezer with a 643-litre total gross volume. This integrated fridge features TouchControl, BrilliantLight, MasterFresh drawer, Drop&Lock shelving system, DynamicCooling, SuperCool, SuperFreeze and NoFrost: surely the longest list of intracapped features of any whitegoods appliance currently on the market.
Self-descriptive features include a water filter, dairy compartment, two fridge door racks, internal ice cube maker and fixed fridge shelf. This model has a 3-star energy rating.
Also new in the MasterCool range is the K 1801 Vi refrigerator (RRP $14,999). This integrated 549-litre fridge (no freezer) includes a vegetable drawer, dairy compartment, three fridge door racks, three adjustable fridge shelves and one fixes fridge shelf. This model has a 2-star energy rating.
The freezer to accompany this model is the F 1471 Vi freezer (RRP $13,999). This model has a 250-litre capacity, external water dispenser, water filter, freezer door rack and two fixed freezer shelves.
The final product in the new range is a wine cabinet. The KWT 1601 Vi wine conditioner (RRP $15,999) has a capacity of 102 bottles. Features include three independent temperature zones, a range of 3 to 18 degrees Celsius, two fixed shelves and 12 adjustable shelves. In order to resist light corruption, this model is shielded with a triple glazed door with UV filter.
