Vestel is expanding its FermentStore feature currently available in its multi-door refrigerators into a standalone fermentation storage unit.

FermentStore helps households take homemade food to a new level and allows them to enjoy the health benefits of fermented foods, which are known to be rich in probiotics to aid digestion and boost immunity.

The FermentStore feature allows users to create and store seven different types of food and beverages including yoghurt, bread, kefir (milk), vinegar, wine, pickles and beer, with ease. After the fermentation process, the food and beverages can be chilled and stored in optimum conditions.

With the new standalone fermentation storage unit, users receive a notification on their smartphone when the fermentation process is complete.

Vestel product manager – refrigeration, Alper Yolcu demonstrated the new fermentation storage product at IFA Berlin. The product is currently a prototype but is expected to be ready for production by the end of 2024.

Vestel also displayed the Auto Open door function for its refrigerators. Using a sensor, the door will open when your hands are full. This was also demonstrated by Vestel’s Alper Yolcu.
