Optus is the first major mobile phone provider to unveil its pricing for the new Apple iPhone 3G S, which will be released on 26 June 2009.

Optus customers will be able to wrap their hands around Apple’s new handset by the end of the week and they will be able to do so with a variety of plans and caps to suit all types of users.

To get the new model for $0 upfront you will have to sign up to a ‘yes’ Timeless $99 Plan and take a $14.99 Mobile Internet Pack over a 24 month contract. If you chose to go on a 12 month contract you will have to pay handset payments of $21, $34 and $48 a month for the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB respectively.

Customers can also opt for a Timeless $129 Plan not to mention a variety of Cap Plans, like the $19, $49, $59 and $79 plans.

But under these Capped plans you will also have to pay handset payments depending on the length of your contract.

Optus is also making it possible for consumers to use their iPhone 3G S as a tethered modem for your PC, but the company is charging $9.99 a month.
