SYDNEY, NSW: It’s Christmas Eve Eve today, so we are at our penultimate gadget in our Christmas series. Today we look at the Philips Fidelio Docking Speaker (DS8550). Today’s poetry form is the Villanelle, which is a highly structured 19-line poem originating in France. The most famous Villanelle is ‘Do Not Go Gently Into That Good Night’ by Dylan Thomas, which was partially quoted in the hit action film Independence Day.
Philips Fidelio Docking Speaker – A Villanelle Review
For when you take the lead in the iPad dock game,
As Philips has with its Fidelio speaker,
Then nothing will ever be the same.
The sound is PureDigital within its black frame,
With precisely tuned pipes making bass deeper,
For when you take the lead in the iPad dock game.
Use with the iPad, iPhone and iPod is not lame,
Plus download the app for the high level tweaker,
Then nothing will ever be the same.
Ultra portability is a key Philips claim,
With a rechargeable battery aiding the thrill seeker,
For when you take the lead in the iPad dock game.
Bluetooth streaming will add to its fame,
And a proximity sensor will fool any sneaker,
Then nothing will ever be the same.
So rivals speak up and challenge proclaim,
Philips offering could make you the meeker,
For when you take the lead in the iPad dock game,
Then nothing will ever be the same.
