Samsung Electronics Australia has launched its new line-up of 2021 high resolution monitors, the first TUV Intelligent Eye Care certified displays in the industry.
The range incorporates nine monitors across three series – the S6, S7 and S8 – with all models offering more than one billion colours enhanced by HDR 10 technology and 178-degree wide viewing angle.
Adaptive Picture eye care technology is designed to optimise picture quality by automatically adjusting brightness and colour temperature in response to room conditions. A special eye-saver mode reduces blue light emissions and Flicker Free mode protects eyes from flickering on the screen.
The monitors have also been acknowledged for energy efficiency thanks to Eco Saving Plus technology, in addition to receiving the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees (TCO) display certification for next-generation sustainable products, the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) ecolabel certification for electronic products, and an Energy Star certification for energy-saving products.
Eco Saving Plus technology reduces power consumption by up to 10% by adjusting the brightness of black sections while maintaining bright and vivid picture quality.
The flagship S65U 34-inch monitor in Ultra-Wide Quad High-Definition offers the 1000R curvature designed to simulate the contours of the human eye so the whole screen can be seen, enhancing productivity with a 21:9 aspect ratio for optimal multi-tasking.
The S6 series supported by USB-C connectivity, LAN connectivity and USB Hub, transforms the monitor into a Docking Station Hub. Built-in Wake On Lan (WOL) functionality allows the connected computer to be powered remotely from another device.
The range also includes a customisable swivel, tilt and rotation functionality to swivel the screen and rotate between portrait and landscape modes. Available in 32-, 27- and 24-inch sizes, it supports QHD resolution, PBP (Picture By Picture) and PIP (Picture In Picture) features. The S6U model also supports Daisy Chain technology, allowing extended multiple screen and screen reproduction.
The S7 series delivers 4K UHD resolution in 27- and 32-inch sizes, with ultra-slim stand, 178-degree wide viewing angle panel and vibrant colour gamut. The virtually borderless design is supported by a tilting function.
The S8 provides 4K Ultra-High Definition resolution and is available in 27- and 32-inch options. In addition to supporting UHD and over one billion colours, the S8 delivers a 99% sRGB colour gamut.
The S8U, available in 27-inch is capable of 10Gbps data transmission through its USB-C type port, offers up to 90W charging and provides a variety of connectivity features including USB 3.0 and a USB hub.
