The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has experienced record pre-sales and strong first weekend sales at retail outlets. Pre-sales for the Galaxy Note 9 have surpassed all previous Samsung records in Australia for a Note device when compared with the same time period.

The device is now on-sale in Australia after a pre-sales period between August 10 and August 24 and Samsung expects demand to continue.

Samsung Electronics Australia vice president IT and mobile, Garry McGregor said the demand for the Note 9 is unprecedented as consumers seek more powerful mobile devices that will help them do more.

“The Galaxy Note is one of our most loved products and we believe the Note 9 is complete game-changer for Samsung when it comes to power, performance, and craftsmanship. It changes what customers can expect from our devices.” McGregor said.

“Updates from around the country indicate a fantastic response at retail outlets as we see more Australians adopt the Note smartphone as their device of choice.”

The Galaxy Note9 Ocean Blue 512GB variant has proved to be so popular that Samsung is working to deliver additional stock to Australia in the coming weeks.
