MELBOURNE: Asko has released the DuoPro – one of the most expensive dishwasher concepts into the local market that will retail for $5,000.
The DuoPro consists of two products – an Asko XL 86cm dishwasher which features 31cm of space in the lower compartment and 23cm in the upper compartment as well as a second product which has not been previously released on to the Australian market. The second machine, which will only be sold as part of the DuoPro package, features a 38cm lower compartment and a small flat rack for stacking up to 30 cups.
According to Asko product manager, James Vogdanos, the two dishwashers are deliberately designed to offer two separate cleaning solutions.
“We all had one television in the house 30 years ago and one car in the driveway,” Vogdanos said.
“We now have multiples of everything, so instead of selling two of the same dishwasher, the DuoPro is two dishwashers with two different configurations.
The DuoPro will be available in seven colours as well as touch-proof stainless steel from November.
