SYDNEY, NSW: Breville took its newest espresso machine to Sydney’s coffee-centric Aroma Festival on the weekend, ramping up an experiential advertising campaign for the machine.

The Dual Boiler BES900 (RRP $1499.95), which is set to be released later this month, was on display at Breville’s stand at the festival in The Rocks on Sunday. Breville had five machines in operation from 10am to 5pm, hoping to attract coffee lovers and generate some caffeine-induced buzz.

“Everyone on the stand was busy from the moment the Aroma Festival kicked off,” said David Gubbin, Breville business manager – beverage. “We sampled more than 800 cups of café quality coffee and demonstrated the Dual Boiler to more than 2,000 potential customers.”

According to Gubbin, the success of the event was in part thanks to the groundwork Breville has already done in getting the Dual Boiler name out to consumers.

“Around 40 per cent of people we spoke with had already heard about the Dual Boiler, so there’s a lot of excitement out there.  With the machine about to arrive, we are so proud with how it performed and are confident this will be a huge coffee success,” Gubbin said.

The Rocks Aroma Festival was in its 14th year this year, with organisers estimating that attendance numbers were over the 100,000 mark. According to Breville, the company was the only consumer coffee machine brand to be represented at the festival.
