Schmoll is leaving to pursue personal interests after sitting on the board as a director for nine years, seven of which he spent as chairman. The outgoing director said he was leaving the company in a solid position.
“Mr Fisher is a respected colleague who has been with me through the exciting and rewarding journey of transitioning the company from a primarily Australian Homewares and Electrical business to the much larger international kitchen appliances group it is today, with a substantial North American business and Breville designed products sold in over 50 countries,” said Schmoll.
“I’m very confident that Breville is well positioned to take advantage of the attractive further opportunities ahead of it.”
Breville CEO, Jack Lord also commented on the appointment, saying “I am enormously grateful for the support I have received from Mr Schmoll and looking forward to working with Mr Fisher as Chairman”.
