Landing at authorised distributor iWorld Australia this April are two new cardboard gaming ‘appliances’ out of German manufacturer Kickpack: the Tennino table tennis set and the Kartoni foosball table.
Designed for good times amongst family, friends, colleagues and clients, these sets come flatpacked for easy portability and can be constructed in minutes for playtime at home, in the office or out in the wild.
“Something totally different from iWorld Australia but it will be a winner with everybody: a simple to set up cardboard gaming foosball table and table tennis table,” iWorld Australia director Chad DeClase told me. “The price is cheap and easy to use with hours and hours of fun. We will have both units landing in Australia and New Zealand in April 2015.
“We have it set up in our office and is a real winner with all the staff and customers.”
The table tennis set is RRP $99 and the foosball table is RRP $149. The table tennis set comes with four paddles and two balls and features a built-in scoreboard. The foodball set includes drinks holders (though one assumes you must watch out for condensation), a wooden ball and two height settings. Both can assembled and reassembled over and over (it takes around 10 minutes) and are made from “100 per cent sustainable resources”.
“The whole concept is that you are taking the party with you,” iWorld Australia BDM Greg Mellier told me. “It’s a cool product for a group of friends to pitch in to purchase. We’ve had a lot of interest from mass retail.”
Based in Moorabbin, Victoria, iWorld Australia is developing a strong reputation as being an importer and distributor of a range of unique appliances and electronics. Other brands and products in its wheelhouse include PerfectBake and PerfectDrink, Crosley turntables, Holysmoke audio and Orbotix appcessories.
