OPPO has unveiled its new Find N3 foldable smartphone, slated to hit the Australian market from mid-November, following a global launch event in Singapore.

Speaking at the global launch of the device, OPPO Australia managing director, Michael Tran said, “As we prepare to introduce the new OPPO Find N3 foldable smartphone to the Australian market, we’re thrilled to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation. The Find N3 is not just a smartphone; it’s a gateway to a new era of mobile experiences.

“Our 2023 performance has been strong, particularly in the premium space where we’ve introduced these new form factors. Building on the local success of the Find N2 Flip earlier this year, we’re confident that the Find N3 will captivate Australian consumers with its stunning design, groundbreaking technology and uncompromised viewing experience.”

OPPO claims that the Find N3’s two screens are the clearest and brightest of any foldable. Building on Find N and Find N2’s Golden Ratio displays, Find N3’s screens are taller, creating a 6.3-inch outer screen, and a 7.8-inch unfolded screen.

Both screens display over 425 pixels per inch and 1,440Hz PWM dimming for comfortable use, even for long periods. LTPO technology makes a smooth 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate possible for fluid scrolling and gameplay complemented by up to 2,800 nits peak brightness. A self-healing layer smooths out scuffs for a barely-there crease for an uninterrupted view.

Three speakers make left and right-channel stereo sound possible, whether the Find N3 is held horizontally or vertically. It’s also 30% louder than its main competitor, with 100% superior bass reproduction for a richer sound, supported by Spatial Audio.

In addition to IPX4 splash resistance, Find N3 claims to be the first phone to be independently tested to withstand one million folds by TÜV Rheinland. The device is just 5.8mm thin when open and 11.7mm when closed. Weighing just 239 grams in vegan leather, it’s also lighter than other flagships.

Find N3’s three pro-grade cameras cover full-frame equivalent focal lengths including 14mm, 24mm, and 70mm. Debuting Sony’s 48MP LYTIA-T808 sensor on foldables, this two-layer stacked CMOS image sensor delivers reduced noise, superior dynamic range and enhanced details. The ultra-thin periscope telephoto camera combines a 64MP resolution with a fast f/2.6 aperture for detailed shots, day or night.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, it delivers 35% improved performance and a 40% boost in overall efficiency versus last-generation chipsets, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, for flagship gaming and multitasking. Find N3 can also keep over 40 apps running in the background thanks to OPPO’s Dynamic Computing Engine.

A large 4,800mAh battery ensures day-long power and with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging, Find N3 offers 80% power on a 30-minute charge, or charges to 100% in 42 minutes.

Running Android 13 with ColorOS 13.2, Find N3 will receive four years of software updates and five years of security updates.

The OPPO Find N3 will be available in Classic Black for RRP $2,699.
