Among the free tasting plates and product samples, guests at this weekend’s Good Food & Wine show in Melbourne are set to get a first look at a new offering from Fisher & Paykel, with the brand using the event to launch its next generation 60cm Built-in Oven.

Recently awarded with Red Dot Award for design excellence, the appliance will be shown off to an expected crowd of more than 130,000 people, alongside its accompanying Fisher & Paykel Warming Drawer.

The appliances will be on display both on the F&P stand and at the Celebrity Theatre demonstration stage, where famous faces including Donna Hay, Maggie Beer and MasterChef Season One winner Julie Goodwin will be showcasing their cooking skills.

The Built-in Oven will also be used at the Fisher & Paykel YUM Kitchen, which gives consumers an opportunity to prepare and cook a meal using the brand’s appliances, with the help of an instructor from F&P’s cooking school partner Bottega Rotolo.

“We now have a strong network of 11 partner schools across the country so decided to do something different at this year’s Good Food & Wine Show,” said Fisher & Paykel’s general manager of marketing, Peter Russell. “This is an opportunity to showcase the schools and our appliances to a different audience and engage them in a meaningful hands-on experience.

“The YUM Kitchen serves three purposes — to support our cooking school partners, to enable engaged consumers the chance to ‘test drive’ our much loved appliances including the award-winning CoolDrawer and Touch & Slide Induction Cooktop, and to introduce them to our brand new next generation 60cm Built-in Oven range.”

The Good Food & Wine Show will be held in Melbourne over the long weekend this weekend before moving on to Sydney (28-30 June), Perth (19-21 July) and then Brisbane (8-10 November).
