Myer has confirmed that it will re-open five Queensland stores on Friday, in line with the easing of stay at home measures by the Queensland government, and two stores in New South Wales on Saturday.
QLD locations include Chermside, Carindale, North Lakes, Townsville and Toowoomba, and NSW locations are Bankstown and Liverpool.
When stores re-open, there will be enhanced safety and cleaning measures implemented to provide a safe working and shopping environment for team members and customers.
This includes increased frequency of cleaning services; protective items such as hand sanitiser stations, face masks and gloves available to team members and hand sanitisers for customers; progressive rollout of sneeze guards at registers; social distancing measures with clear signage, and contactless payments.
In addition, some services will remain suspended to reduce close contact, including beauty appointments, intimate apparel fittings, suit fittings, shoe fittings and change rooms.
Stores in other states will remain closed, but Myer will closely monitor government measures and advice, including that of National Cabinet, with a view to reopen stores on a staged basis. For states where stores are not open, the Myer website is available 24/7 and Click & Collect services are available at selected stores nationally.
