The HIA Home Show rolled into Sydney over the weekend, showcasing a range of products and design ideas for builders, renovators, home decorators and interior designers, and bringing an expected crowd of 30,000 consumers and trade professionals.
While the expo did not feature the large number of appliance brands seen at events such as the Good Food & Wine Show or designEX in the past, there were a few well-known names out and about showcasing their products.

Home Theatre and Audio products brand Bose had a large stand at the show with experiential stations where consumers could try out headphones as well as a dedicated Home Theatre Show.
Siemens had one of the larger footprints at the show, with plenty of floor space dedicated to whitegoods and cooking appliances.

Daikin showed off its range of air conditioning units to consumers and specifiers alike.
Sharyn from Laurastar demonstrates the company’s high-end Laurastar 30 Ironing station. The ironing board features a powerful built-in steam generator and a dual fan/vacuum under the board that blows fabric upwards to prevent creasing, or sucks it down to keep it in place while ironing.
Whilst strictly not related to appliances, the Government’s National Broadband Network was on show with this dedicated NBN truck. The truck was manned with representatives ready to answer questions, speak about the benefits to retailers in terms of Home Entertainment and Smart TV, and to demonstrate the new technology.
