Mac-1 becomes HN Mac-1.
Harvey Norman has taken over Apple product supplier Mac-1, which focused on enterprise and corporate IT solutions. The business was placed into administration separately from the rest of the Dick Smith Holdings in January.
According to media reports, McGrathNicol administrator Joe Hayes, advised Mac-1 employees yesterday that the business and assets of Mac-1 would be sold to HN Mac-1 which is affiliated with Harvey Norman.
However, it appears that employee entitlements won’t be paid until the company was placed in liquidation, according to Hayes because those were a claim against Mac-1. This is expected to happen at a second creditor meeting in June.
