Following a successful showing at the Good Food & Wine Show this year, Fisher & Paykel will showcase its appliances in Sydney and Melbourne this month as part of Grand Designs Live. The event unites consumers with major brands from the interior design, renovating and landscaping industries for presentations, talks and advice sessions on home improvement.
Grand Designs doyen Kevin McCloud will also be in the country to attend the show, with the long-time host of the British TV program joining his Australian counterpart Peter Maddison to speak at the event and meet ardent fans.

For its part, Fisher & Paykel will have a strong presence in both cities, bringing out a dedicated stand to show off its appliances, with both kitchen and laundry appliances getting their fair share of the limelight.
“In September we released our brand new SmartDrive Front Loader washing machines — the QuickSmart and WashSmart — along with an AeroXL Condenser Dryer,” said Fisher & Paykel Experiential and Alliances Manager, Julia Morrison. "These two products don’t get much attention at the Good Food & Wine Show, so Grand Designs Live is an important platform for us to showcase our non-cooking appliances"
With Grand Designs Live bringing in more than 50,000 visitors across its two-city tour last year, Morrison is hopeful about the impact the brand can make with a key set of consumers.
“Last year was the first time Grand Designs Live was held in Melbourne and visitor numbers were very strong (28,048) — we’re looking forward to going back there 25 – 27 October as the design community in Melbourne is really buzzing,” she said.
“Grand Designs Live attracts a very targeted audience — people who are actively seeking inspiration for their home build or renovation, who are specifically interested in design and architecture. We want to make sure we stand out to this audience.”
Joining Fisher & Paykel to sponsor Grand Designs Live this year are the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) and home improvement retailer Masters. Grand Designs Live will run from 18 to 20 October at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, before moving to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25 to 27 October.
Fisher & Paykel's stand will appear at Grand Designs Live this month.
The brand will use Grand Designs to showcase its laundry appliances, alongside its kitchen offering.
Fisher & Paykel has built appliances into the exterior of its stand, as well as the interior.
