Huawei Australia is giving away a GT 2 smartwatch each week for the next two weeks to Australian Huawei users who enter their photos into the NEXT IMAGE competition by July 31, 2020.

Entrants are invited to explore modern media formats to create new and unique narratives, captured on their Huawei smartphone, and share content spanning six categories with a chance to win cash prizes of up to $10,000, as well as Huawei’s latest flagship device, the Huawei P40 Pro.

“We’ve received some incredible entries so far showcasing the many talents that Australians have to offer,” Huawei Consumer Business managing director, Larking Huang said. “There’s never been a more important time for all of us to come together, and we’re proud to play a role in helping connect people around the world through the power of creativity.”   

NEXT-IMAGE 2020 is the world’s biggest smartphone photography and video competition. With over 882,000 entries submissions received globally so far, entrants in Australia have submitted over 594 stunning photos and films.

All entrants are in with a chance of having their submissions judged by leading photography experts, including Steve McCurry, whose ‘Afghanistan Girl’ has become one of the most iconic and powerful works in the history of photography.

To enter, users must share their photography/videography taken on a smartphone to Instagram, tagging @HuaweiMobileAU and using the hashtag #HuaweiNextImageAU.
