Huawei has launched its first Devialet co-engineered portable speaker, the Sound Joy, featuring 26-hour playback, one-touch transfer music sharing and shake stereo pairing solution.
The new woven fabric design offers an IP67 dust and water resistance rating and an anti-slip surface that withstands most weather conditions, as well as staying protected in up to one metre of water. Its compact size measures 202mm in height with a diameter of 73mm and weighs 680g.
The co-engineering with Devialet adopts a two-way speaker system to deliver loud high-frequencies and deep bass at a high volume and includes one tweeter and one speaker unit dedicated for mids and lows.
Leveraging the Devialet SAM technology, the Sound Joy delivers more authentic audio experiences with minimalised distortion with its Push-Push passive radiator that includes two diaphragms placed back-to-back to offset sound waves for clearer and distortion-free sounds.
Using an 8800mAh battery, the Sound Joy provides a long-lasting battery life of 26 hours on one full charge. Even when battery is running low, the 40W fast charging lets users power up the speaker quickly and safely. A 10-minute charge provides an additional hour of play with a full charge achieved in only three hours.
By pressing the Voice Assistant button, users can send requests to the voice assistant on their smartphone or tablet, even if it’s not a Huawei device, turning the Sound Joy into a smart assistant. With the Shake Stereo Link Upfunction, two units of Sound Joy pair and connect to form a stereo system and One Touch Transfer allows users to connect their device to the speaker and instantly transfer the playing media.
Huawei Sound Joy’s Huawei Watch Control feature lets users pause, skip songs and turn up/down volume level at their wrist. Thanks to the Automatic Discovery feature, users can simply connect a smartphone, laptop or tablet nearby to the Sound Joy with a few taps and the pop-up window appears on their device.
