Some of Australia’s leading chefs are sharing their culinary secrets and favourite dishes in the Top Chef Demo Series. This cooking experience, part of The WA Food Guide and retailer Hart & Co, is presented by Wusthof Knives.

The second event in the series was delivered by Guy Grossi, from Garum at the Westin Perth, who brough his culinary expertise to 40 guests last month. As well as sampling his favourite dishes, guests had the opportunity to experience, learn and celebrate a love of food with one of Australia’s leading chefs, who has had a huge influence on Italian cuisine in this country.

“This series is a first for a retailer as far as I am aware. It’s been hugely successful, and attendees have been blown away by the experience,” Hart & Co chairman Rick Hart told Appliance Retailer.

Sophie Budd from Hart & Co with Guy Grossi and chefs Stefano and Paolo.

“The part played by the amazing chefs cannot be underestimated as they cook showcasing the appliances in our kitchen. They have been delightful to work with and their interaction with the audience has been amazing.

“By their attendance, all participants have been exposed to our unique showroom, The Culinary Heart, which has led to increased exposure to the products on show, and ultimately a high level of interest in the appliances,” he said.

Many of the guests at the latest event described it as: “one of their foodie highlights of the year” and appreciated what they said was Grossi’s “warmth, presence and willingness to share his knowledge and leadership of Italian cooking”.

Next in the Top Chef Series is with Danielle Alvarez on June 25, followed by Seth James on July 31 and Matt Stone on September 4. Tickets are on sale now.

The series is promoted via a digital marketing strategy and additional public relations activity.
