Following the launch of Smeg’s Happy Bar fridge and with the 50s-styled FAB fridge range well established in the marketplace, Smeg has announced the launch of a new matching dishwasher to boost the brand’s retro range.

The DWIFAB dishwasher is available in piano black, panna cream and cherry red and features the same curved lines and minimalist exterior that distinguishes the other appliances in the FAB range.

According to a Smeg spokesperson, the dishwasher couples retro appearances with dishwashing technology that is “unashamedly 21st century”.

“Orbital wash system, five stage water filtration system, whisper-quiet operation, a meagre 12.6 litres to wash and rinse a full 14 place settings plus a choice of five programmes puts the Smeg DWIFAB dishwasher at the very forefront of new generation technology,” the spokesperson said.

The dishwasher also features a total Aquastop water safety device and Aquatest technology that senses how dirty the water in the dishwasher is and automatically adjusts the washing programme to suit. It has a 4.5-star WELS water rating and a 3.5-star energy rating.

The DWIFAB dishwasher will be available nationally for RRP $2,190.
