Falmec has commenced a two-month promotion offering a 10-year warranty on its rangehoods.
Franke Australia took over the distribution of Falmec three years ago following the acquisition of PRKS and the brand celebrated 40 years in business in 2021.
According to Franke Australia managing director, Owen Holbourn, the promotion will double the current five-year warranty on its products.
“We have run this 10-year warranty promotion before and it has been very successful. The promotion really drives sales in the marketplace and we are looking forward to running it again over the next two months,” Holbourn told Appliance Retailer.
Holbourn confirmed that Franke Australia will be introducing a new range of Falmec products in the near future.
“We will continue to innovate and introduce new and exciting products to our retail partners,” he said.
Marketing material supporting the Falmec promotion has confirmed the promotion which will effectively double the current five-year warranty on its products.
“Double warranty on all Falmec Rangehoods,” the promotion states.
“Get an additional five years on the standard five-year warranty with your rangehood purchase.”
The promotion is valid from 1 April to 31 May 2025 and excludes commercial transactions.
Falmec has joined other suppliers by announcing a 10-year warranty on its products.
Five years ago, Miele was the first company to introduce a 10-year warranty promotion in Australia and has since frequently used this strategically to help drive sales.
At the time, competitors described the Miele promotion as “game-changing” and helped drive sales even when states such as Victoria remained in lockdown.
Asko introduced the first 10-year warranty promotion of its kind in late 2023 when it offered a 10-year warranty and 10 per cent off.
Asko has since frequently used a 10-year warranty promotion to drive sales of appliances.
