SYDNEY: Apple Australia has announced a new ‘back-to-school’ promotion that refunds the price of a 4GB iPod nano to customers who buy a qualifying Mac computer and iPod together.
Customers must purchase a MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac or MacPro and any iPod other than a shuffle before 18 April 2008 to qualify.
The refund applies to employees of public or private kindergarten to year 12 institutions, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members, parent and citizens/friends executives currently serving as elected or appointed members, qualified homeschools and employees of a public or private, profit or non-profit preschool.
In the higher education space, the refund applies to faculty or staff members of a public or private higher education institution, students currently attending or accepted into a public or private higher education institution and parents purchasing on behalf of their child who has applied for, been accepted into, or is currently attending a higher education institution in Australia
The refund cheque will be sent to the customer via post.
Not every Apple reseller will offer the educational discounts, so Apple Australia advised customers to either purchase through their website or from a list of education-focused retailers listed on the website.
