Canon has unveiled two full frame mirrorless cameras the EOS R5 and EOS R6, among a new product line-up which also includes new RF lenses and the imagePROGRAF 300 A3+ printer.

Designed to revolutionise the mirrorless interchangeable lens imaging category, the new cameras offer a world first 8K movie capability in a full frame mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. The EOS R5 also offers the highest resolution for a Canon EOS camera while both models have what Canon claims is the fastest AF focusing speed of 0.05 seconds. Both cameras are supported by Canon Australia’s local 5-year warranty and are available for pre-order now.

“As the market leader in interchangeable lens cameras, our role is to keep pushing the industry forward and we’re proud to stand here with two truly revolutionary interchangeable lens mirrorless cameras capable of shaping the future of content capture and consumption,” Canon Australia senior manager product marketing, Brendan Maher said.

While the past six months have been challenging for everyone, we’ve seen more Australians turn to photography to capture the moments that are truly important to them,” he said. “This is the dawn of a new era for the mirrorless imaging category and it’s game-on from Canon.”

Canon’s new product line-up also features the imagePROGRAF 300 A3+ desktop printer, with the quality features of the award winning imagePROGRAF PRO series, four RF lenses and two RF lens extenders.
