ASKO has completed a national training program for its new Celsius°Cooking™ induction cooktops with retailers across Australia including The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, E&S, Betta Electrical, Designer Appliances, Bing Lee and Winning Appliances.

ASKO sales director, Rob Butchatsky has confirmed that a national training program for the Celsius°Cooking™ range took place in store as well as with a number of key accounts flying in to have personalised hands-on training with national training manager, Lisa Burke and head demonstrator, Maree Carr at the company’s head office in Heatherton, Victoria.

“Since early February we have hosted over a dozen separate training sessions on the Celsius°Cooking™ induction product and this has seen well over 100 retail staff flown in from all over the country to learn about and experience the product in a live demonstration format,” he told Appliance Retailer.

“With the importance of this product to our range and our brand, we saw it as essential to deliver bespoke hands-on experience and host retail salespeople who are the such important individuals to our business – as they the key influencers of our product at store level.

“These training sessions were created so that the salespeople could get hands-on with the product and experience why and how our Celsius°Cooking™ products are such a new innovation in the induction cooking category, allowing them to explain their uniqueness and how to demonstrate it for customers.

“Lisa has been a powerhouse with presenting and hosting these demonstration and training sessions and preparing the vast majority of the content, assisted by Maree who we are so fortunate to have in our kitchen creating an inviting, fun and delicious food experience for all that attended.”

The introduction of the Celsius°Cooking™ cooktop range is a key platform for the brand in 2024 as it represents a broad range of ‘firsts’ for the category.

Butchatsky said the new range also reinforces ASKO’s strategy of bringing the most premium and innovative product to the cooking category. There are seven Celsius°Cooking™ cooktops available in the range, all with a five-year warranty as well as a bonus gift with purchase of a Celsius fry pan for 60cm or 80cm models and purchasers of the top of the range 90cm model receive a chef’s pot and fry pan.

The ASKO Celsius°Cooking™ induction cooktop range, available in gloss black and matt black, provides the ability for consumers to cook at single-degree increments, as well as the familiar 1-12 plus boost power levels.

The cooktop also integrates with ASKO-branded Celsius°Cooking™ fry pan and chef’s pot as well as a Bluetooth probe for liquid based cooking methods such as Sous Vide. Timers are also available to ‘count-up’ so that consumers can add ingredients at specific intervals or complete a cooking step at a set time.
