Betta Home Living in Oasis shopping village, Northern Territory, is moving a short distance north-west to Berrimah, as changes to the centre impact on foot traffic and customer demographic.
The store is currently located in Palmerston and will relocate in Berrimah, offering a slightly larger retail space and larger warehouse.
The store’s product offering will also see a marginal shift as kitchen and home theatre floor space increases with less focus on impulse purchase items such as small appliances.
“Since the Oasis shopping village was refurbished in May this year, stores in the food, health and leisure categories have increased. This has created chaos and put pressure on our store as consumers experience difficulty in finding a car spot and now the majority of consumers visiting the centre are not after an electrical store,” Fernandes said.

“Our store lease is also set to expire and I was not prepared to sign up for another five years, so it was a perfect opportunity to move into another space,” he added.
