Samsung has launched a treasure hunt campaign, coinciding with the release of its Galaxy S20 smartphone range.

Microcodes, is one of the company’s largest consumer giveaways, offering a veritable treasure trove of Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones via codes embedded within Galaxy S20 advertisements. Codes are the word ‘phone’ spelt in a variety of ways and are found in advertisements within Samsung Experience stores and kiosks, Facebook, Instagram, online banners, cinema spots and selected out-of-home spots.

Consumers will need the support of the zoom function on their smartphone to find codes, thereby promoting the 100x Space Zoom hero feature on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Clues will also be left on Samsung Australia social channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Once a code is discovered, it must be entered into the Microcodes microsite for confirmation of a prize and the first to enter that code wins a Galaxy S20 Ultra.

“Microcodes is our most exciting consumer campaign and a first for Samsung Australia,” Samsung Electronics Australia vice president IT and mobile, Garry McGregor said. “The concept is clever, fun and speaks to one of our most standout camera features, the 100x Space Zoom. To date, Galaxy S20 Ultra has been reviewed by Australian journalists around the country with the highest of praise for its camera, performance and overall experience.”

The campaign runs as long as codes last.
