Jura has announced the implementation of several preventative measures and protocols designed to simultaneously limit the risk of spreading the virus and ensure a continuation of service.
Jura Australia managing director, George Liakatos said employees who can work from home will for the foreseeable future, non-essential travel has been cancelled or postponed, face-to-face meetings will be substituted to conference or video calls, training and events have been cancelled or postponed and field staff have been instructed to practice ‘social distancing’ guidelines.
Effective March 23, 2020, the Jura showroom in Melbourne was closed until further notice.
“Our customers will still be able to drop off and collect their coffee machines, however for all demonstrations and purchases, they will be directed to our online advisory service, Jura Live,” Liakatos said.
“Customers can till experience live ‘virtual’ coffee machine demonstrations and be directed to their closest Jura dealer for any purchases. As we expect increased demand for this service, we will be adding additional capacity to Jura Live in the short term.
“Our intent is to keep our employees and customers safe and healthy while staying productive towards our goals. To ensure that our customers have the support they need we are working on contingency plans that could see the majority of our employees working remotely so as to ensure the continuation of essential customer support, sales support and coffee machine repair services.”
