Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) managing director, Yuji Ito said the company is doing all it can to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and as such, has made a conscious decision for all employees to work remotely from home. This includes the customer service and warranty service teams who are progressively being set up to work remotely.

“We have taken this decision with the confidence that we will be able to continue to deliver exceptional service to all our customers nationwide with our field sales teams continuing to call on customers in person, where appropriate, or otherwise maintain our service via telephone and email correspondence,” Ito said in a statement shared with Appliance Retailer.

“Our customer service and warranty service can still be contacted easily on 1300 138 007 or via email. Our teams will no longer be conducting face to face training sessions or meetings with multiple people and will practice ‘social distancing’, as advised by both state and federal governments.

“MHIAA management will regularly monitor all communications and updates from the Australian government, state governments and the World Health Organisation (WHO) websites on the situation to make informed decisions and ensure the health and safety of our customers, staff and the wide community.”
