Samsung Electronics Australia has recently donated $1 million to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service for efforts to fight and prevent bushfires.

Samsung president W.J. Song said the devastation caused by the bushfires has been felt across Samsung offices globally.

“Our hearts go out to everyone that has been impacted. It has been incredibly humbling to see the Australian community rally together and offer any support they can during this time. We are committed to leveraging the power of our technology to address the challenging reality that bushfires present to Australia.”

In 2020, Samsung says it will evolve its ongoing corporate citizenship program to inspire young people and entrepreneurs to tackle this issue.
