Rick Hart will return to Retravision 40 years after first joining the organisation and 20 years after leaving the group to join Narta as a standalone member.

The new Rick Hart and Co retail concept, soon to open on Guthrie Street in Osborne Park, will see the business become an associate member on 1 March 2020 accessing the benefits of the banner group without being branded as a Retravision store. By joining Retravision, Rick Hart & Co will also be absorbed within the overall Narta group.

Rick Hart was a Retravision member for about 20 years from 1979 to 1999 and then in 2000 made the decision to move to Narta.

“At the time we had outgrown Retravision and going to Narta was the logical step – and that proved to be the case,” Hart told Appliance Retailer.

“We are pleased to come into the Retravision banner again through our association with DDL and it seems to be a good solution for us. We will essentially be an unidentified member, but it will provide access to point-of-sale, inventory control and more through their CRM system.”

Retravision managing director (pictured above), David Dorsett-Lynn (DDL) told Appliance Retailer, “The Retravision business has been growing over the last couple of years and we are always pleased to be able to assist proven operators that share our passion for our customers and thrive on service delivery.

“Retravision seeks to provide the retail POS solutions and infrastructure that modern retailers require without creating a large cost burden in the middle. Rick and Nick will trade under their own brand names and will be a very welcome associate member.”

Rick Hart and Nick Kirby first approached Narta but due to the buying group’s structure, Retravision was a better fit, according to Narta CEO, Michael Jackson.

“DDL provides excellent POS and retail services in Perth that will provide great efficiencies to their business. A lot of these services are a benefit of DDL being a Narta shareholder.

“Although Rick and Nick will not be as Retravision, they will benefit from the operating backend systems. Being under DDL, a shareholding member of Narta, the relationships built with suppliers and other Narta shareholders over many decades, we wish Nick and Rick all the best in their new business adventure.”
