Winning Group will open a new 45,000 square metre purpose-built distribution centre in Altona North, Victoria – the largest DC opened by the Group – in February 2021.
The DC will have 51 loading docks – four times more than the previous site – and over 6,000 rack locations, 13 metres in height, with room for further growth and expansion for Winning Services, the Group’s logistics business, to service Appliances Online, Winning Appliances and Home Clearance.
Winning Group CEO, John Winning said the location was carefully chosen to ensure customers receive the most efficient delivery.
“Located 15km from Melbourne CBD, the new DC will enable more efficient loading and unloading with 51 loading docks. In addition to our state-of-the-art racking system, our warehouse management system will improve location accuracy and the ability to service free, next-day delivery in Victoria.
“Our new Altona North DC allows our business to expand rapidly, following strong double-digit growth for the Group in Victoria.”
