Smartphone under $100.

Local brand Aspera Mobile has launched its successor to the Jazz smartphone, the dual-SIM 4G Android Jazz 2.

Aspera Mobile managing director, Allan Robertson said the original was popular with budget conscious younger and mature users wanting a simple smartphone. “The Jazz 2 takes this offering to the next level with dual-SIM and 4G functionality but still only costing $99 making it the best value 4G smartphone on the market.

“Consumers told us they wanted to go from 3G to 4G to stay current and to increase the on-board memory and we did both by upgrading the technology and increasing on board memory to 16GB. Storage can also be expanded with a micro-SD card for further capacity. We also customised the device with dual 4G SIM cards as this functionality is in high demand and not readily available on most handsets sold by mobile carriers.”

The Jazz 2 dual 4G SIM cards allow flexibility for users with the option of two numbers in one device for personal and work use. The Jazz 2 has a 5MP rear and 2MP front camera and Android 9 Go for access to GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Other key features include a 4.95- inch screen and 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, contains 1GB of RAM and uses a 1900mAh battery.

Available now through Big W, Harvey Norman, BP outlets, Retravision and MobileCiti for RRP $99.
