Commemorates milestone with staff.

It was the official 100 year anniversary for Electrolux on August 29 and Australian staff celebrated at the company’s NSW distribution and service centre at Casula in south-western Sydney on Monday.

Some 200 staff from both Mascot head office and the Casula facility gathered for a morning tea featuring a display of memorabilia comprising historic products, sales journals, company brochures and other documents reflecting the company’s history in Australia.

After its foundation in Stockholm, Sweden in 1919, global expansion quickly followed with an Electrolux floorcare factory in Melbourne and other state offices operating by the mid-1920s. Electrolux acquired Australia’s leading whitegoods business, Email Major Appliances, in 2001.
