Trend to soft and deep blacks.

The new Craft by Asko range is said to epitomise the best of Scandinavian design and innovation. This is reflected in a one piece front plate, a steel ergonomic handle and solid metal dials while the vaulted ceiling redirects heat back to the cooking surface for a more precise cooking result.

The Craft range comes in three colours, Black Steel with a touch of colour and a brushed pattern finish, Stainless Steel with a diagonally brushed surface that reflects surrounding light and Anthracite that has a soft matte appearance.

The collection comprises combi steam, pyrolytic, multifunction and combi/solo microwave ovens in 45cm and 60cm models. There is also a dishwasher in Black Steel.

According to the company, while white has been dominant in kitchens for a long time, combined with white or stainless-steel appliances, there is now a trend towards darker colors.

As a ‘take-away’ introduction to the Black Steel range there is 50-page brochure together with 12 recipes that can be downloaded from the website.

RRPs start at $ $1,899 for the Black Steel dishwasher; $1,999 for the 60cm Anthracite pyrolytic oven; $2,399 for the 60cm Black Steel pyrolytic oven and $4,399 for the 60cm Black Steel combi steam oven.
