For Melbourne showroom.

The Gaggenau flagship showroom in South Melbourne has taken out a commendation in the Retail Design category at the 2019 Australian Interior Design Awards, one of five projects from 18 that were shortlisted.

The showroom, which is said to be the first of its kind in Australia, opened in May 2018.

“Since opening we have been overwhelmed with the opportunities to engage and inspire all those wanting to experience the Gaggenau brand, from large-scale events to tailored sit-down dinners and personalised individual demonstrations,” general manager, Robert Warner said.

“From a Gaggenau perspective, we are constantly inspired by good design, professional cooking, and craftsmanship and we have tried to deliver a space that will inspire our customers from architects, designers, developers, retail partners and end consumers.”

Senior brand manager, Aleks Efeian said: “The key to the success of Gaggenau Melbourne stems from the philosophy: consumer first. Establishing a personal relationship is key and as more people seek bespoke experiences, we have found an increase in appointments and visits.”

Gaggenau will run a series of hosted foodie workshops, including a Cheese Masterclass as part of Saturday Indesign on June 22, 2019. This one day design extravaganza will have participating showrooms and precincts involved with creative installations, talks and events happening across the city.

Visitors to the Gaggenau showroom in Coventry Street will also have the chance to win a trip to Milan Design Week 2020.
